Hover Craft
(Case Study)2025 An interface for music creation built for the musician and non-musician alike, exploring how to drive interest in the art of music making by making it as easy as humanly possible to generate pleasing melodies and patterns. Users hover their hands over physical elements mirroring an on-screen UI to generate notes and modulate sound parameters such as instrument, scale, chord, and arpeggio. LEDs on the physical interface light up upon sound creation and parameter changes to signal successful input.
Hover Craft is the artist’s Masters thesis project at NYU-ITP.
